Our new state of the art harvesting equipment has a floating cutting head technology that follows the contour of the field and lifts uniform quality cut sod. Each sod roll is 2 ft x 5 ft (or 10 square ft.) The weight of each roll will range between 30 lb to 55 lb depending on moisture. There are 540 sq. ft. (54 rolls) on a pallet. The weight of a full pallet varies between 2,000 lbs to 3,000 lbs, averaging 1 to 1½ tons. We always suggest your job be finished, graded and ready for installation before the sod is on site, this allows you time to get it laid out and watered before the heat of the day.
